PurePower 2000i, first impressions

These are first impressions...so possibly a little coloured by the effect this unit had on me.

The unit is built like a tank...no worries there.
The fan noise is indeed negligible...pfff, that is a relief.

The unit is powering the C1000, MDA1000, MCD1000, 2xMC501, Sony BluRay, Sony 55" LCD.

Even at very loud volumes I could not get the 2000i to cross the 40% load mark.

What can I say...the effect is not even subtle.

The last time a experienced this kind of instant emotional delivery was when I took the Rock n Roller Coaster ride at Disney Paris...you know...the one with the horizontal launch.

I knew my power was bad...but voltage swings at the input from 214V to 220V...all the time...the horror.

At last... hit hats, cymbals sound as they should...stage is wider...stereo is...euh...more holographic.

The bass is fundamentally different and took me completely off guard...its got more zzzing to it (I know, sounds silly)...its still very musical, I still hear all the notes, but it is somehow more balanced and integrated with the mids and highs.

I honestly did not expect this.

...to be continued

Sounds like you like it!!! Looking forward to your comments the longer you have it in the system. After about a week or so, I wonder if you would notice a significant loss by taking it out again.

That is the plan...I can keep the unit for about a week...if I go cold turkey when I return it...there will be dineros changing hands.

Jacques.......You may as well write the check now, and leave the PurePower 2000i AC regenerator in your system. You already know its absence will be regretful. No reason to take it out of your system, just to turn around and put it back in. You know this will happen.

Dan, no truer words have been spoken and we all know that you speak from experience on this one.
