unremarkable cabinet..I did not realize that there were dozens if not hundreds of speakers with cabinets containing advanced transmission line technology. I think it is the other way around, dozens if not hundreds of speakers with cabinets based on relatively simple sealed and ported designs.

I will agree with you on one point, I would not pay $15k for the EB1i (or any other speaker). I paid less than 1/3 of that amount for my OB1i and have essentially the same performance down to the 30-35Hz range. Since I do not have a large listening room, do not listen at high SPLs, and never listen to pipe organ music in particular, I am most satisfied.

Brad.......I did not misread, or misunderstand your post. I personally believe the PMC speakers I own are worth their price. You obviously think the Revels are worth their price. Lovely. We are both entitled to our differing opinions of both speakers relative values.

At $20,000+ a pair new, with discounted pricing around $15,000, Harman International isn't exactly giving away the Revel Ultima Salon 2, either. I have listened to the Revel Ultima Salon 2, as well as the Studio 2, and thought they sounded very good. Ok, you get six speakers in a wooden box with lots of rounded shapes and dimples, all metal drivers, a 4-way crossover, and a cute little terminal compartment with a cover. Is that worth $20K? You can rationalize that answer, because you bought them.

I am not defending anything. I am addressing your comments. I simply made a statement that I am happy with my speaker purchase, and believe its value, performace, and quality are worth the price, and believe the PMC EB1i's outperform many other speakers costing considerably more. I have no problem if you don't agree with my evaluation.

By the way, I already feed several villages of people I don't know. It's called federal income tax. If you wish to make additional contributions, please be my guest.

I totally agree with you DAN and you know it already.
By courtesy to other decent speaker makers, I will not give any more example, as I gave many in the past, but I too consider the EB1i to be better than speakers costing a LOT MORE money.
Their dress is very common for sure, but their sound is a never - ending amazing experience. That's the kind of lady nobody will notice when she's in the street. But in the bedroom, she is the sweetest wonder in the world !
