I know this may not seem to make much sense, but my first pair of "real" speakers were a 1970's vintage pair of Panasonic SB550's (I think that's correct). Any way, they had a mid range dome. I remember their ability with vocals fondly. I half think that PMC's use of a mid range dome, and naturally their execution of the design, may have something to do with how much folks like their sound.
