I'm hoping to finally start building my McIntosh dream system over the next couple of years. I'm upgrading everything from my first system, although I'm having difficulty deciding what to do first.
Welcome g33k,
You'll get a lot of advice here, with guys who've been doing this for years. You'll definitely have some lessons along the way you'll learn 'on your own' but the input you'll get here will reduce the number of costly lessons - this coming from a guy who just last month (finally) rounded out his system.

Hi!

I'm Graham. Love my hifi - EAD, Vacuum State, VAC, and more - and while I've picked up a lot along the way, I'm in awe of the extraordinary knowledge of others.

I'm fairly active on a UK forum and may well know some folk here too.

Just one quick question - I couldn't see a 'search' facility. Am I missing something?

Whatever - tis good to be here!

I didn't wish to appear to be promoting any competition! It's Hifiwigwam... Extremely irreverant, doesn't suffer fools or trolls, and some of the contributors can be... errmm... 'blunt'. If you know what I mean. I like it and there's a massive amount of knowledge there too, but it's certainly not for the easily offended.

There are several features that await after you have a certain number of posts or after you become a Subscriber. I think you will be getting an e-mail detailing those benefits.

Hello all

Here is a brief introduction.

I bought my first McIntosh piece monday last week - a super looking MC2505 from CL.

Since then, I have bought the McIntosh book from a dealer in Tampa on Tuesday - yes i was hooked. I also listened to their reference room with the MC2KW's and the reference speakers - incredible to say the least

I have spent alot of time looking at the McIntosh forums on the net and found my way to here.

I have been a HT guy for a while and have recently gotten into vinyl again.

Looking forward to learning more about McIntosh and putting together a vintage system for 2 channel and maybe sneaking some into the video system

gary

Welcome garyrq
There are a lot of knowledgeable McIntosh people here as well as those who have other great systems. I think you will get most of your questions answered about what gear might fit your needs.

Hello everyone,

I've never really gotten into the really high level hi-fi equipment, like the McIntoshes and such, but have always considered it a priority to buy as best I could - Adcom, Bose, Pioneer Elite - but never really have been into the really high end stuff.

I look forward to reading about more of this stuff and eventually moving in that direction myself.

Look forward to reading more.
