MS-300 Issue
I am trying to load a couple of new discs that arrived today and I cannot get the disc drawer on my MS-300 to open. When I push the open/close button I hear the drawer try to cycle put it will not open. I did hold the power up button on the unit until went thru the blinking light cycle and again became solid. The drawer still will not open.
I tried calling McIntosh Service but they closed for the day at 4:30. Jim

Thanks, Unplugging it did allow me to open the tray on the second push. It is still not working properly more like it has been for the last month or so. I will call Mac tomorrow. Jim

For all the mechanics problems I read here and on other forums on McIntosh drives, I 'm quite sure that McIntosh will never see my money for a separate with a Cd drive in.

I had a similar problem. I took the drive out of the unit, was able to push the button to release the door, put a tiny bit of lithium grease in a couple of spots, and it has been perfect for the last 8 months.
