If you look at the CD drawer, is the reveal (gap) around the drive and the bezel consistent, or is the drive misaligned?
It is adjustable, once you get the cover off, there are a couple of spring mounted screws, if that's the problem.
Good luck, hope it's an easy fix & doesn't have to be sent in for service.

Try this:

Remove cover. Loosen the two horizontal screws at the back of the drive assembly so that the CD drive assembly is free to pivot, then turn the front two spring loaded vertical screws to move the front of the assembly up and down. Turn them CCW to raise the assembly in the slot (try a half turn at a time and test).

Since the rear two screws also have some play, you can apply pressure to either rail in the fore/aft direction to make small adjustments in the left/right position of the assembly relative to the slot.

When finished, tighten rear screws and you are done.

I just finished removing the cover, re-connected the power cord and let the system power up. The door opened and closed each time without any problems. I repeated this many times without and issue.

While it was open I applied a very very small amount of silicon to the trays edges and tightened the front adjustment screws ever so slightly. The unit still cycled without issue.

I replaced the cover, reinstalled the unit in the rack and after powering up the unit the unit failed to open the first time I tried to open the door, but each subsequent attempt to open and close has worked.

I will leave it as is until I have to load more discs.

The door might be hitting on the front panel when it tries to open.

What I don't understand is why they have the drive so far back from the front panel, requiring them to use a longer drawer.

I had a similar issue and read an earlier thread that suggested adjusting the screws, fixed, no issue ever since. I like this unit and use it everyday.

My MS300 is an amazing convenience. I just hope the door issue is an anomaly.
