I am looking for suggestions for a different brand pre amp that would have good synergy with the MCD500 and MC501's. I can't find a dealer who has a C2300 or for that matter any C500T or C1000T pre amps . When I ask how long it will take to order one nobody I have spoken to has any idea. The MCD500 direct to the MC501's does sound very good but I miss not being able to play any vinyl.

Jeez, if you want a 2300 or 500T there are always some on A-Gon. If you put a wanted for a C1000T you would probably get several offerings within the week.

Did all of you guys have a bad 4th Holiday.

I had a great July 4th Jim. I have been looking on audiogon but I prefer to have a warranty when I buy something that is as expensive as a C500 or C1000 and that means new.

Have you checked with Audio Classics? You might have to purchase a demo unit, but they likely have one or the other.

Yes I checked with Audioclassics several weeks ago and Ryan was going to give me a call when a new one was available. He had 1 used B stock C2300 but it was nearly the same price as a brand new one.

Something is seriously wrong with the dealer network if no-one near you can provide you with a 2300 and C1000 to demo.

Tell you what take a trip to Hong Kong and I'll make sure you can demo any Mac piece till the wazoos come back to roost.
