Suggest you get either the MA7000 or MA6600 (or MA6800 if you can find one - rare). You'll be much happier in the end.

I have owned MA6500, MA6600 and now MA2275.
They are all great but must say MA2275 is special.

In last 15 years or so I have owned and used amplification from brands like Nakamichi, NAD, Marantz, Acurus, Rotel, Classe, Jolida, Bryston, Melody, Musical Fidelity, LSA, Peachtree audio and many more.
Last year tried my first McIntosh integrated MA6500 and was really impressed with relaxed sweet sound but thought it lacked some low end slam needed for my large speakers in large room.
So decided to upgrade, sold 6500 and acquired MA6600 which sounded absolutely fantastic with deep deep bass....there was no more reason to upgrade whatsoever but,
I was so excited that I wanted to take it even further and finish it off once and for all….. basically buy something best I could afford and stop this upgrade madness for once and enjoy the music…I am dealing with this upgraditis for last 15 years or so...sometimes I feel it’s not hobby anymore but has turned into a disease :-)

Anyway assuming separates should undoubtedly sound better than integrated this time I upgraded to MC352 power amp and C42 as preamp.
Something went wrong here...no matter what I did, I could not get right tone in my system.
Though I got chest pounding bass and extended treble, the magic and musicality was just not there.
I discussed this problem is length with Audioclassics over and over again and tried everything they suggested.
They were surprised at this as MC 352 has become a classic...they have sold hundreds of these and almost everybody owns it absolutely loves it.
Anyway I was very discouraged and unwillingly decided to either go back to MA6600 or try MA2275.
I researched MA2275 at length and found very sparse information or reviews and couple of folks bashing MA2275 over and over again in different forums on net.
I was so frustrated that decided to take a plunge and try it anyway …so went ahead and ordered MA2275 from Audioclassics yet again.

I received it last week …set it up and I must say …..Wow ...fantastic ...I think I have best amp I have ever owned.
I don’t think it’s even broken in or settled in yet but it’s already sounding just fantabulous.
I agree that it does not have brutal deep base of 352 but instead I am getting extremely tuneful base with realism, vocal which are absolutely breathtaking, treble which is sweeeeet like sugar ...wow
Female vocals give me goose bumps every time I listen to it..
I am so thrilled that I am going to let it burn in for some time and then try some tube and cable rolling but wonder if it can get any better than this…

In all this I must mention that I have never encounter customer service like Audioclassics before.
I have been dealing with Ernie @ Audioclassics and he nothing but just class act...he has been extremely patient and more than helpful to guide me thru this journey.
