Theta, when they brought out their first high end pre-pro, assured customers that it would never obsolete since it used card cage technology in which parts that became obsolete could simply be replaced by new parts by swapping cards. I about bought one. They are now on their third model but still using a card cage technology.

The idea of modular components is GREAT, but so far it has not worked out well for any company of which I am aware. Some companies will take in the obsoleted pre-pro and bring it up to date for a reasonable fee such as adding HDMI ports, etc. -- that also makes sense.

Probably safe going on your vacation -- parts availability is really staring to slow shipments. Dealer today told me about someone ordering a MA6600 -- which is also awaiting parts -- availability is scheduled for mid-December.

Of course, the dealer isn't happy as he was initially told it's be ready by end of October & of course he relayed this to the customer, etc.

Lately, orders for C500 units -- rarely ship both on the same day. Usually the C or T/P ship weeks apart. My C500 set was 3+ weeks apart.

MX150's -- Unfortunately, my dealer tells me as of today, there is no scheduled ship dates as it continues to await parts (from new suppliers??). (he has one on order for a customer).
