All I have heard is that McIntosh is still saying they will ship to dealers by the end of October. Let's hope so!

I was not told that it would not ship at last weeks McIntosh Event at Paragon, but parts shortages were confirmed but not for a specific unit.

As the old saying goes, they didn't say which year.

Hopefully, very soon, according to my dealer.

Maybe they will actually come to market before the new 3D video displays that Sony, Samsung and Panasonic are currently planning on introducing next year which (as I understand it) require two HDMI feeds and a new BD player; and, the new HDMI 1.4 connectors that include ethernet connectivity...

It is always difficult for high-end companies to chase the video industry. These companies should use modular components instead of building a whole new unit, so when new tech (ie. HDMI 1.4) comes out, they can just swap the board. Both the high-end companies and consumers can benefit this way.
