I wouldn't consider adding amps either.. until of course I upgrade my mc300 to a set of 501 mono's.. then I'll have the mc300 to play with up there.

update..

From a phone conversation, it appears Mcintosh are in the middle of a production run of MX150's this week. However this is only a pre-production run. These units will be given the torture test, I'm assuming next week... And "IF" all goes well they can go into full production, and maybe just maybe shipping by Late January. (which is like next week. )

However I would think it would take longer then a part of a week to adequately test a unit. (at least i hope it does). So I'm leaning toward sometime by mid February... again assuming everything test's alright and God forbid, they need to go back to China for some parts issue.

Everyone cross your fingers please.

Edit: I wonder what my serial number will be?

It would have been nice to have had two HDMI out's as well as more than one sub channel out. Using Room Perfect with more than one sub might prove to be extremely difficult or impossible with just one sub channel out. For $12K, a person should have the ability to send the video to a FP as well as a plasma or LCD depending upon their needs at the time (my family would prefer to watch regular TV programming on the plasma and then watch movies using a FP).
