Default My "downsizing" is not going so well...

Well... I just added a MINT 275 MkV to my ever growing collection of amps.

Dan got one... I got the other...

I'm hoping that if one of us finds a need for the mate the other will be willing to comply.

A great forum member was letting go of his pair... trading up to the wonderful 501's.

Should be here soon. I can't wait.

I am thinking of using the 275 direct with the MCD500 for a small "simple system" Maybe the limited power of the 275 will help me "keep it down"

I have always wanted one of these classic McIntosh amps.... Very excited to have it one its way

Stephen.......Congratulations. And thank you. I was beginning to think about purchasing Terry's second MC275, like I need it. Enjoy it my friend, and PM me if you ever want to sell it. I may be in a buying mood that day.

Yes, as much as I hated to. I just knew that I was going to be moving around and could not deal with the huge speakers and HUGE boxes.

I still miss that wonderful sound, but have found something that I like as well or better in the PMC line.

The have gone to a good home... some guy that calls himself... Masterlu

Stephen.......Perhaps he just made you a small loan, and is holding the LS360's as collateral.

As much as I loved the LS360's... the PMC's have taken my listening to a new level.

The OB's ABSOLUTELY get out of the way and disappear in my room.

I can not wait to try them with Mc tubes...

Are you really going to give up your MC501's and if so, may I ask why ?

David,

I sincerely doubt that I would ever give up the 501's... They are the benchmark, the reference.

My living situation is changing (probably) from 3500 sq ft private house with several rooms for music to a small apartment.

So, I am giving thoughts to using the 275/MCD500/PMC together and putting most everything else in storage for a little while.

I am hoping to love the 275, but I doubt that it will give me the power and volume that I crave. For that, I will always NEED the 501's.

If I ever had the "right" room for Khorns... I might go all tubes... but it takes a very particular room to be "just right" for Khorns.

Thanks for asking
