Thank you Chris. I will eventually do the upgrade by Factory or experienced local dealer. I don't trust DIY either.

How much better is the new firmware?

Speaking from experience. Take it to a dealer. I "bricked" mine and it was at the shop for weeks and then had to go back to the mothership. Not fun.

The benefit to having a dealer assist is they can also help to make sure your PC is ready with the appropriate drivers (Macs already have them). Those who choose to DIY are not alone and we have had many owners complete the upgrade. It is worth it! That 32/192 USB playback is great.

If you are having any issues please don't hesitate to reach out. I can be an added resource to our excellent Ron Cornelius.

Happy Listening!

Do all new C50/48 units coming from the factory now have the upgrade in them already?

Since the beginning of May when we pushed the FW update all of the units shipped would have the latest.

Hello!

Just updated the firmware and USB Audio for my C48, however still shows 16/44.1k. How do I get it to do 32, if that is possible?

Thanks!

Enit, are you playing high resolution tracks with a player that supports switching between different resolution? Once upgraded the C48 will show resolution of file being played, and is capable of 32/192. A quick way to test, if you have a MAC Computer, is to go into Audio Midi and manually set a higher resolution, which will software upsample to specified resolution. USB on MAC is capable of 32/192, and optical is capable of 24/96.

Enit, please let us know what computer and software you're using and we may be able to help. Mac or PC? iTunes or other?

Hey guys, sorry for the belated reply. Managed to figure it out. Anyway, I toggle between JRiver on a windows laptop & iTunes on MacBook Air.

Thanks for the replies anyway! Mostly access this forum via iPhone since I downloaded the app, and Nvr did click on the stickies until today.

All the best!

My question is if a apple user can play 32bit/88.2k HD tracks through USB by C50.
My C50 works fine with windows OS to show 32bit/88.2k in LED, but when switch to macbook, it only show 16bit/44.1k...
