Hey everyone,

My SA11-S2 will not play a SACD all the way through. It's happened on 4 SACD's which are free from debris and or new. Usually tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 16 on most of the SACD's. The player will stop on the track or start skipping or just won't play at all. The TOC reads are fine but player will hang up or skip and sometimes reads 'Can't Play'. Oh yeah, Red Book CDs play fine.

Who services Marantz? Does Service Wide Tech in Downers Grove Ill still do their service?

Got a call from SWT. Needs new laser assembly and modifications, $280.00, unit just went out of warrenty. Told them to repair it.

I got a call yesterday from SWT. Unit is repaired and ready to be shipped to me but guess what? Unit will not play any SACD's at all!!! Since the unit is just out of warrenty and has been in and out of the shop since I first bought it Marantz will decide it's fate. I've already paid to have it repaired and not going to spend anymore $$$ on it. It's a lemon.

Jim....at the moment they are talking about replacing the unit, be it a new SA11 or the SA15. Bottom line is I'm not going to pay the difference for a new SA11 or 7A. My SA11 and equipment look brand new and just out of warrenty. They are super nice to deal with so we shall see. Should know more tomorrow.
