So I was setting up my new JL sub with my 8003 via the "Audsey set up, and it passed all test tones, everything was as it should, but when I watch any movies, the sub would not work.

I even had my dealer here and they could not figure it out. It was almost as if the Audsey could not detect the sub and flushed it out.

so we had to by pass the Audsey set up, we are waiting for word from the Marantz Engr departments because they never saw this happend before.

So its either an across the bord issue or they will swap out my unit.

Has anyone else had issues like this?

Make sure you have the sub turned on in the menus of your DVD player and your Processor.

We went in and out of every setting. It is really strange. It might just be a bad unit. Because I was having sound issues also, I would watch a movie on either cable or BR and the picture would work but no sound. came and went. Really strange.
