Default The Future of Krell Uncertain

What Happened At Krell and Why The D'agostino Family Is Out

It is sad when I see something like this happen to one of the respected brands in hi end audio. My friend is finding out that the trade in value of his amp. is affected by this as well. Lets hope the founders of Krell get control back of the company they started.

I found many of their pieces interesting, and I hate to see any high end company have troubles. They certainly went after their own path which I find admirable. The gear was very well built, always very fast and demanding of other system units to me. I have heard their class a amps sound jaw dropping, and brittle depending on the associated equipment. Aurally they are on the other hemisphere from McIntosh, And I live somewhere in between at the moment.
Regards,
Jim

I am very worried about this as well......Krell is building its S-300i integrated amplifier 100% in China......i wonder what else they make from now on will be Made in China? ...Anyone remember what happened to Carver when Bob Carver got voted out of his own company? The same thing that may be happening to Krell ........is this a sign of things to come for Krell? ....who knows? ,but i dont like where its going so far for Krell ........Resale value of their gear from what i have been hearing is dropping as well

Glad I strolled over here for a read before purhchasing an S-300i integrated. Think I'll shop around for the predecessor, which states "Made in the USA" on the back. Don't need no Chinese crap in my house. When I start shopping at Wal-Mart I'll buy start buying Chinese.

I'm thinking a lot of us wish you had kept strolling.
