If you like to leave the amps in stand by I would see the need for it just in the savings of electricity and less heat. The amps draw 70w in stand by but in E mode I think it is more like 17w.
Omerta.......Figuring all three Evo amplifiers drawing 70 watts each in standby, that's approximately 180 kilowatt hours of power per year. In my area electrical power is costing $0.10 per kilowatt hour, so those three amps idling 24 hours a day, seven days a week would add $180.00 per year to my electric bill. Retrofitting three Evo amps at $2500 each to reduce idle watts, not counting the 17 watts each amp will draw with the new circuit, it would take you 41 years to recover the upgrade cost in energy savings. Hmm, doesn't appear to be a sound idea.

sure, I will take some pics as soon as the replacement Billy Bags stands come. The original pro stands from them I am using have an issue with the powder coating chipping so they are sending me a couple more.

here is an old pic of the room before I got the stands and cleaned up the wires. I will be moving soon and I am going to a projector. The third amp is under the display. A pic of the inside of the 707 for those that haven't had the pleasure. Mine is black but I have to take another picture because I seem to have deleted the one I had.

Thanks... I found the 707 picture when it was new and it did not have the DSP chip and the new codecs yet.

The pair of subs are ACI Maestros. ACI does not make them anymore. My brother has a pair of f113's and those subs are pretty much the standard of what all others are compared too. I know the f113 well and I would say in the small room I am in they would only be a very slight improvement. When I go to a larger room I am considering starting out with a pair of Seaton Submersives and may go to quads. It all depends on the room of coarse.
