Concerning the Evo 402...I based it on this...
AudiogoN ForSale: Krell Evolution 402

The Evo 600s are "supposed" to be $33k.
AudiogoN ForSale: Krell evolution 600 mono

Concerning depreciation, it seems Mac holds their value a little better than most. But an example can be found to support the opposite too I suppose.

MC 2301 is $24k new, and $16k used.
AudiogoN ForSale: McIntosh MC2301 tube

C 2300 is $6k new, and $4k used.
AudiogoN ForSale: Mcintosh C2300

The last I saw at the dealer the Krell 402 was about $16k. People can and do put just about anything down for the Original price. Also, unless the prices went up in January, weren't the 2301's and 1.2ks listed at $22k?

I don't know about Krell, but Mark Levinson (the company) seems to have done fairly well without the namesake's involvement.

Julian.......Through the years Levinson has been passed around like a hot potato. It is now owned by Harman International, the same folks who also own AKG, Becker, BSS Audio, Crown, DBX, Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, QNX, and Soundcraft-Studer. Harmon International has had Levinson for quite some time now, so it may be that Levinson has found a home that is willing to support the product.

Well, not to be outdone by any Krell owner there is someone selling a C500/500T on Audiogon for $9,999.00. They list the retail at $20,000, close.

Dan,

Thanks for the email picture.

Bro,

$600 hardly get s you a respectable BR player. Get the Oppo, and the remaining monies to a superb SIM2 projector. Thats the way to go!

BUT I still envy your meridian setup.

Cheers!

I personally hear Dan D,Agastino is, lets just say hard to work for and he didn,t get along with his investors so he is no longer with the company.
