Default Cornwalls-Outside the box

Was looking at some of the Audio Show reports and ran across this photo of Klipsch Cornwall's from the 2008 Rome show. Don't think it will wind up becoming a Factory approved mod.

Into the Tektron room there was an interesting set-up consisting of a custom integrated amp with 211 triodes (delivering 16 watts per channel) which was driving a highly modified pair of Klipsch loudspeakers. The mid-high horns had been detached from the speaker and "suspended" by means of a metallic rod (see pic). Definitely not the ultimate in terms of WAF but die-hard audiophiles are ready to divorce when pursuing their ultimate goals in high performance.

The amps are cool, the speaker looks like someone in high school metal shop got a hold of it.
