That's too much speaker for a stand IMHO. Why don't they take the tweeter from the PF-7 II and woofer from the new RB-81 II and give us a nice monitor between the P-17B and RB-81 II? They definitely need to fill the gap between their $800 and $4000 monitors. The RB-81 II pair I listened to a couple of days ago was very impressive in a really poor set-up. Was a Pioneer Elite stereo receiver fed by a $400 Yamaha CDP changer and something akin to zip cord for cables with a speaker selector box in the line. No effort to get good placement. Have to admit to being amazed by the quality of the sound. It really was that good.
