I have my F112 conected to my MX136 thru the unbalanced RCA input from the LFE channel for HT and conected to my c2300 thru the balanced stereo inputs for stereo from the speaker outputs on the C2300. For HT I use the C2300 in passthru mode and calibrated the F112 for HT. For HT speakers are set as small at 80 crossover.
For stereo, only the C2300 is on with the output switch turned on to feed the F112 which I adjust via the remote for bass management. Has anyone done anything similar or have a better way to conect the F112 so that it can be used for both HT and stereo.

I moved my JLf112 from the 2 channel room to the home theater. My home theater sounds better; I am going to give me velodyne sub to a friend. The improvement in bass can be heard even when just the center channel speaker has dialogue, not overdone but much fuller. I am not missing not having a sub in the 2 channel room as the Elipsa's have enough bass; atleast that is my thinking at the moment I found I was turning the crossover lower or turning off the sub altogether.

For 2 channel, I always wonder the same thing.
Some recordings are improved with the sub and others are not mixed well and sound boomy.
Full Range speakers seem more forgiving in 2 channel.

HT and Multi are my favorite and a must for JL113's use.
As most of my multi recordings are very good.

I was watching the blu ray of Diana Krall Live in Rio the other night. Keep in mind my bedroom is 2 floors above my basement home theater and my wife said she could feel the bass upstairs. My volume was set at 42 and was not really that loud. The sub is placed in a build in so that may explain how the sound propagated through the walls.

Default No Offense to any of you Fathom Owners.............

Well, I gleefully unpacked my F112, and placed it next to my current sub, because the cable exchange should be pretty simple, right? So, in the middle of the night (not really), I make the quick cable exchange (input RCA & power) from Mirage to JL. Then comes the 'power up' for all 2-channel audio units.

My God, this is the biggest disappointment in my life, concerning newly acquired audio equipment. Upon power up, I receive a thump & a light blink, and then dead silence on the F112. So I refer to the 'troubleshooting' section of the manual, and it says "check the circuit breaker that feeds the outlet". You mean you want me to unscrew a bunch of screws to look at a breaker inside the box? How about I just pack it and send it back to sender? If nothing else, my trusty Mirage is still giving me the low freqs.

Any ideas?

The JLsub does not work out of the box until you run the ARO program then you will be all set. Did you run the automatic room optimization yet ?

Circuit breaker probably refers to your home circuit breaker, not a circuit breaker inside the sub. But if you plugged the Mirage back in and it continues to work, that is not the problem.
