I put the hammer away, and purchased a crossover, with the money I saved going through Ivan.
Fixed everything.
Great write up!

Thanks

King,

Please tell more about the crossover you purchased at how it is set up in your system.

Pyro, Thanks for taking the time to find this and publiush it here for all to see.

Somebody better call Bryston and tell them to get busy...

I purchased a SMS-1 through Kal Rubinson (Stereophile editor).
It no Bryston, but at a fraction of the cost.
I would google its reviews from Kal and reviews from Larry Greenhill's of the Velodyne DD subs, for some guidance.
To see if it fits your needs.
Cheers!

What I have noticed on these recordings is that switching the sub out does not improve the poorly recorded audio. Basically, it is what it is.

I have begun to think that seperate left and right subs might be the best way to go. Still pondering that.
You are correct once again Dan. My systems responds the same way. Just took a little time to get it dialed in.
