Haven't had any JBL's since my L100 Century's in the 70's. Nothing like orange or blue foam back then.

I too am a big fan of JBL. Although I currently have no JBLs hooked up, I own the following:
250ti Classic Edition from the late '90s
L26s
Pro VIII
Pro III
and have owned over the years:
L7s - two pairs
L100t3
L96
L16
L20t

Before getting married, I had the 250tis in a secondary set-up, hopefully next year we'll be renovating and I'll get them hooked up.

I really do. I searched for years for a pair of 250tis. It all paid off about 4 years ago. What was funny, the guy lived less than 10 miles away!!! Anyway, I am hoping that sooner than later they are hooked up in there own room. I love the B&W N801s that are currently in front of them, but the 250tis definetely have a 'sound' that I enjoy.

If I only had the space, Pete. Last week on CL, there was a mint pair of L220s freshly refoamed, and at a reasonable price. I mean, it would be ridiculous to have two pairs of monster JBLs NOT hooked up Ahh, to dream....

Your tale sounds similar to what happened to me as I searched and searched for a B460 Sub. I didn't find one locally (mine came from Provo, Utah) but it took MANY years before I found one.

I have always been most intrigued by the L250, or the 250Ti it later evolved to. I auditioned briefly a pair of L250's maybe 6 months after I bought my L220's. I was impressed but wasn't sure they were superior enough to the L220's to warrant changing that soon. There does seem a consensus on Lansing forums that the 250 variants are superior to the L220-what do you think?

I love the visual design of the L250/250Ti. They would defnitely look nice in my room, with my system. I'd want them to be in wood finish, however since I have so much wood in my room and in my system. Not sure the 250Ti Limited edition would fit visually. But when I think of a really nice pair in, say, walnut, I really get thinking.... and

Pete
