Default JBL - Lansing Heritage
This is great.....a JBL forum. I have always had a love affair going with JBL speakers, and on occasion, with their electronics. A good friend had a JBL receiver that was way before it's time, and that was over 30 years ago. I lusted for that receiver for years. JBL has always be an innovator, and a leader in the audio business, both consumer and professional.

Yes, LHF is a great resource, with some very helpful and knowledgeable members. It's been a big help to me more than once.

I don't visit every day like here, I kind of go hot and cold on it. But, it's nice to know they are there, for sure.

Hey Pete - My friend owned the Paragon and another friend the Olympus w/SR7 speakers and I owned the white tower ones with the tiny grill on top but I can't remember the model #. Do you know it?

I think that I can honestly say, that the 4301b's that I found in MINT condition in a house we bought here in So Cal is the THING that started me back on the the audio journey that I had started some 20 years earlier.

I still have those speakers and am still amazed at how phenomenal they sound being driven by the lowly MA6300.

If I didn't love so many other things, I could easily be sucked into being a JBL collector and listener of their fine speakers.

Some of their more esoteric models are TRULY classics in the audio world.

S109 Aquarius? They were most popular in Walnut, but it was also available in a white finish.

I love stories like this...what really gave me the JBL bug was the first time I heard a pair of Lancer 99's in a home system, powered by a modestly powered Sony receiver. I couldn't believe a bookshelf system could sound this good. It was a two way system with the LE14A low frequency driver. I can't seem to find the brochure on it in the JBL Library.
