I traded a pair of Bose 301's I believe for the L100s. I bought the L36 and 4311s with cash saved. I miss those JBLs and the simple times of the era.....for me anyway.

For years, it was a McIntosh integrated amp, a Dual turntable with a Shure V15 cartridge, a Teac reel to reel tape machine, and JBL L100's. Ah....the good ol' days.

I also had JBL in a system of mine in the past, and have great memories of those speakers.

Sold them long ago, but I often wish I still had a pair.

With mine it was Crown IC150A, DC300, Technics Turntable with Empire Cartridge, Sansui Tuner, Soundcraftsmen RP2212 eq, DBX118 and the JBL L100's.

I still have the Crown IC150A/DC300 combo, together with my original Soundcraftsmen eq, powering JBL 4401 Monitors in my office system.

Someday, when things are better and I (hopefully) have more room, I'll look into again acquiring a pair of L100's.

Why? Just because!!

This tune http://www.mapleshaderecords.com/cds/mp3s/sweetman1.mp3 reminds me of the, shall we say, gentelmen's clubs I have visited, and saw JBL L100's hanging from the overhead around the dance floor. I can't remember how many tight bodies I've watched slink around the dance floor poles, hips swaying to the rock solid beat delivered by our old favorites, the JBL L100's. Ay, yes.......the good ol' days for sure.

This is the PG version of a cute little blonde on the pole, just in case the family's watching.

As far as audio goes, I don't think there are any brands that bring on the nostalgia like JBL, maybe McIntosh, but those two just push the warm fuzzy buttons, don't they? Am I wrong?
