I traded a pair of Bose 301's I believe for the L100s. I bought the L36 and 4311s with cash saved. I miss those JBLs and the simple times of the era.....for me anyway.

I still have the Crown IC150A/DC300 combo, together with my original Soundcraftsmen eq, powering JBL 4401 Monitors in my office system.

Someday, when things are better and I (hopefully) have more room, I'll look into again acquiring a pair of L100's.

I can't remember how many tight bodies I've watched slink around the dance floor poles, hips swaying to the rock solid beat delivered by our old favorites, the JBL L100's. Ay, yes.......the good ol' days for sure.

As far as audio goes, I don't think there are any brands that bring on the nostalgia like JBL, maybe McIntosh, but those two just push the warm fuzzy buttons, don't they? Am I wrong?
