Pete.......I would have to agree with you on the JBL K2 S9900 speakers. Still, I imagine the Array 1400 sounds very good, and can be had at quite a savings over the K2 S9900.

Thanks, Brian. At $11K a pair, a person could set up an entire HT system with them for less than the price of a pair of JBL K2 S9900 speakers. I agree with the reviewer that the JBL Array 1400's unconventional appearance may not appeal to everyone.

I don't think the arrays would blend especially well in my decor. I'd bet they sound great though. Now the S9900's, those would look gorgeous in my room! Not something I'll ever see though....

Default JBL Array

Mike at Audio Classics now stocks the JBL Array 1000 and the 1400 and can get any JBL in this series. (Perhaps others as well, but for sure those two models are in stock NOW!) At long last a dealer you can visit to hear these babies! What, your not in Binghamton? AC is! Cheers, Frank

Default JBL Project Array 1000

I finally unpacked my new JBL Project Array 1000's. I went with the 1000 instead of the 1400's because I felt the bass response was faster. I don't listen to rap or hip hop and just don't need more bass then these babies can deliver. These things sound great! Even right out of the box they sound better then the JBL 250Ti's that are the speakers in the living room by order of my wife. (It has to do with the teak wood in there. Plus she likes the looks of them.) At any rate my wife, Carol, and daughter, Sam, have gone away for a short vacation. In honor of their trip the new speakers will live in the living room for a few days until their return. Right now they are being driven by the MC-501's and C-200. Once they move into my 2 channel room in the basement they will be driven by the MC-2102 and a C-2200. I just can't understand why JBL doesn't have these for sale all over the place. Instead, they make you hunt for a dealer. (Ivan didn't announce he was selling them until I had mine ordered) At any rate for the next 3 days I will be hard at work in the basement revamping my home theater where I've added the McIntosh projector, the VP-1000 and Blue ray. No, not the McIntosh MVP881 ( Can't afford at this time), but a Sony ES-1000 player. I've been on the phone with Chuck at Mac several times making sure I wired it up the right way. Now I can plug it in and start to calibrate it. I did try the projector once already and it worked fine and I got it all zeroed in, but I understand that now with the VP-1000 that will all be for naught. I've sent along a few photo's of the JBL's while they are being tested in the living room. Things are a bit tossed about in there right now. You understand. Cheers, Frank

Frank.......As a long time fan of JBL, and an owner of many of their fine speakers, I am excited and happy to see the JBL Project Array 1000's in your home. JBL speakers have a way of becoming part of the family, and sticking around. From your initial comments, I have a feeling the 1000's will be in your HT system for a very long time. Congratulations.
