Dan...what sort of number did you expect? 91db is not an ineffecient number. My L220A's overall sensitivity is rated at 90db, 1W, 1M. (The individual drivers reflect higher sensitivity ratings, however).

The Everest is at 96db. Not too many speakers available rated over 100db @ 1w-I do know of one brand that has four models over 100db.....

Have seen the Everest at a Dealer. Other than that I haven't seen much of JBL or Altec since the late 70's (Thanks to PWK). It is interesting to see that some of the models almost look the same as the old ones. Not sure what the pricing looks like or availability.

Have read a few reviews on the 1400 Array (link below)-but never heard them or the K2 series.

Pete......I realize 91 dB is not considered inefficient, but JBL has a long history of producing speakers with 94 dB and 96 dB sensitivity. My comment wasn't a complaint, more an exclamation.
