Honestly, I'm so sick of everything on TV and movies, I don't care that much anymore. Most of what I watch now is either motorsports or educational, and neither really need the last word in picture or sound quality. This is not an area worth thinning my wallet at this time.

I've made inquiries into pricing for 1 and 8 meter lengths of the Supernova 6-Mini cable, in case I get a Mac Mini. If I go down this road I will wait for the next refresh of the Mini.

Well, watching motorsports is certainly important!

That is most certainly true, but it doesn't need $100 power cables (well, maybe on the race cars).

I sure would like to hear more about the Wadia 121 DAC!

My old DAC was a Chinese made one off eBay. The hardware was good but it was not asynchronous. I think asynchronous is essential for good sound.
Have you tried the volume control on the Wadia 121? How does it sound?

I haven't used the volume control. I have two mono 300B vacuum tube amps and a vacuum tube preamp. The manual; however, recommends disconnecting the preamp. I will try it in the future.

I read on one of the "computer audio" sites someone bought one but did not like it at all. He ended up returning it. I hope this product in not a dud! Maybe 2 years of hype may have resulted in expectations exceeding results!

Pretty vague info on which to be condemning an entire product design isn't it?

I am very interested in hearing how this experiment goes for you!

Bill: have you taken a good listen yet? What do you think about the sonics?
