Did you know the Elipsas are now available in a finish which is almost (about 90%) like that of the Red Violin Finish of the Homage line? There is a small price penalty for it.

Howie, I did not know that. Not sure if they are even available here yet...

The Bryston gear is very impressive!!!

A great company and I like the fact that James hasn't even attacked one person yet!!!!

I would keep the SF Guarneri Mementos and the two XLS112 subs.

Change is good. I have been thinking lately that this might be as good a time as any to shift my attention away from McIntosh to other high-end manufacturers. It is about time to develope another direction in audio gear. Bryston is at the top of that list..

Bryston BP26

Bryston BCD-1

Bryston BDA-1

Bryston 4B SST2
Dan, no doubt that will be a very nice system. Just be sure you are ready to trade off some tube midrange magic for bolder dynamics and a more neutral presentation.

Congrats Serge. I am sure you will be happy with the Bryston combo in the home theater I am afraid your putting the Elipsa's in the home theater is somehow going to cost me some money once I hear them in yours. My whole 2 channel room could be incorporated into the home theater allowing for a whole new 2 channel system Next time your over I will demonstrate that the 501's actually do have tremendous bottom end grip and slam with the Elipsa's.

Thanks David. Yes, you know it will cost you money in the long run. David, I always say it like it is, you know I've had my 501s on few different speakers. They are not the equal of some amps out there in terms of slam but that's not always the most important thing, they offer other qualities that some other amps can't do quite as well.

Serge.......If I am correct, it was just a lucky guess. I remembered your physical size from a few photos posted over the years, and just threw that number out there based on what I remembered.
