Not many visitors to our home would believe what I have spent over the years on my system, but when they are sitting and listening they love it and often drop by for a coffee and a listen. I have never regretted a cent I have spent, especially when I look beside me and my wife has tears in her eyes from a song we are listening to, pure magic.

Great thread....an audio enthusiast dabbling in high-end equipment can find it a lonely life and really has a to keep to himself when surrounded by friends with Bose ipod docs....least the solitude bears great sound.
