Well I just ordered the Bryston BDA-1 DAC. I can't wait to get it in my system.

I figure the MCD205 transport and the new DAC be a pretty good pair.

Now, I am going to get some new coax cables. One for the MS300 and one for the MCD205. Previously I had to use one coax, and one optical.

Is it better to use the BNC connectors, or the RCA?

I think the only non-Transparent cable I have left in my system is my Digital Oval RCA from Analysis Plus. I haven't found a reason to change it. It performs better than several cables from Kimber, Acoustic Zen and Synergistic that came before it.

I own that dac in black 17in. Did you get the BR2 remote option ?

I use the Atlas opus 75 ohm at 1.5 mtr length. That coax is real nice and the best i have owned and i have been through lots of coax.

Chuck.......Congratulations on the Bryston BDA-1 purchase. I expect your MCD205 to have a brand new lease on life with this outboard DAC. When I purchased my first MCD500 for the main system I had the MCD205. I connected it's digital output to one of the MCD500 digital inputs, and was absolutely floored at the improvement in the MCD205's performance. I feel certain you will have the same experience with your MCD205 and the Bryston BDA-1 DAC. Looking forward to your impressions.

If you are going to order a Bryston piece, letting James Tanner know is good advice. I ordered my BCD on a Wednesday and it was shipped two days later on Fri.

I know a guy who is still waiting for his BCD and it'll be about 5 weeks. I told him not to take James out of the loop and let him know,but i guess he didnt want to bother him with it.
