It sounds like GHT has the 802d2s in the same room as the Wilsons. Can you A/B them with the Sashas or the Sophias?

What do they now have in the theater room where they had the 802ds?

If you want to A/B the Sasha's with B&W or even the 1K's you can do that in Ann Arbor. Normally you could use either Krell, or McItnosh (2301's or 501's) for power. The Sophia 3's should be in by now too.

That's a long way from Atlanta, but you often have to travel to see and hear these things.

Ann Arbor is probably a bit farther from me than Atlanta -- by about 3 additional driving hours I think.

Not sure where you are, but you can make it from Bloomington to Ann Arbor in about 5 hours. Less than 350 miles.

I'm about 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of Bloomington -- or about 3 hours south of Indianapolis.

Hi everybody. I ordered my 802 Diamond Gloss Black back on 6/8/10 and my dealer told me they would take 4-5 weeks to deliver. He now tells me they are on back order. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Hi there Jim, how interesting that your post touches on something so relevant to me. The 802Ds and the Wilson Sashas are the 2 speakers I am most interested in, and I am hoping to drive them with a pair of MC2301s. I intend to start a thread, but do you think 300 watts is enough for either of these babies?

I think that 2301's should do rather nicely with either speaker. I have heard both with the 2301's but never for extended listening sessions.

Just a note. The 802D's have been replaced with the 802 Series Diamond. I think you will find that improvements in the Series Diamond are commensurate with those Wilson made going from the Watt Puppy 8's to the Sasha's. Both the new 802's and the Sasha's are fine speakers that should satisfy you for some time.

Jim

I have never listened to Sasha's but did listen to New Sophias and I could not justify paying more for Sophias. Sasha's are even more expensive and the question is are Sasha's that much better than 802 diamonds or they are in 800 diamond league?

I think its down to personal preference. But in the US Sashas cost about the same as the 800 model, while in europe, Sashas cost twice the 800's price.
