Well what else can go wrong? I had an electrician provide an estimate for a surge protector in my circuit breaker box. BUT, while leaving he seen my B&W 802D speaker and commented "WOW, that's one hell of a karaoke machine" grabbed my tweeter and tried to pull it off. OH my &^%$. I can't move good due to my recovery but my high tone of voice certainly stopped him from tearing it off. The speaker still works but I can hear a distinct sound of something broke inside and it moves easily on top. According to the 802d schematics it's probably the bolt that connects the tweeter to the speaker. The electrician didn't believe how much the speakers cost stating "I just bought some bose at best buy for a few hundred." I replied, I'll contact my local dealer and he can provide your company with the cost, im assuming approx. $2,000.00. He said, "well I broke it, ill pay for it. I guess I shouldn't touch what isn't mine". Those are some strange looking speakers. He apologized a few more times. I know he thought he was just being funny and afterward I could tell by his actions he was sorry. He asked for the website to read about the speakers. Probably still doesn't believe me.

He's the same fool who will lean on the hood of your car like it was his personal lounge chair.

He said, "I guess I shouldn't touch what isn't mine." Gosh what a fast learner.....NOT. It would have been all I could do not to rip his nose off his face.

My pain pills probably kept me calmer than I normally would be, im sure my facial expression said alot, along with the different tongues I was speaking. I probably sounded possessed.

I guess it kind of looks like a microphone, but I would never have the &()^^ to grab it. I hope my local dealer can repair it in my home. If not, it's going to take me all day to box it. I have my original boxes but there shoved in a corner of the garage with my other boxes, on top. I'll have to dig em out.

I was just getting ready to order my WW speaker cable.

It may be an easy fix do-able in your home.

What really kills me, at least emotionally is the cost and level of audio equipment I have. It's taken me 15 years of buying, selling, and upgrading to be where I am today. I have approx. $60,000 invested. I'm not a Dr. or Lawyer, my income is roughly $50-$70.000 yr depending on overtime. I divorced 4 years ago so subtract 60% before taxes for child support. ($25,000yr) I could never afford to purchase the equipment I have today. I am very fortunate to have what I own and take pride in caring for it. Time for bed, maybe this is a bad dream.

Being a clown, cost him this time. Hopefully he learned from this experience.
