Wow Serge, you certainly are on a roll. Good to see you keeping the economy going.

Why did you go to the Wilson's so quickly after getting the new amps and pre amp, especially since the Sonus/JL sub's were not very old. ?

cheers Shane

Shane, good to see you here on AA! The synergy of Lamm and Ayre KX-R has allowed me to go explore a more open, neutral speaker like Wilson and the Sophia 2 is a great match for my new gear and room.

Default KX-R on A'gon for 12,800. Is that a good deal?

I'm thinking of adding that to my system.

Joe.......This Denver, Colorado audio dealer is probably hoping to pick up $1K or more on this trade-in, so he has some room to still realize a profit accepting a reasonable, but lower offer. At any rate, if you are serious about the KX-R, offer $12,200 and see what happens.

BTW, welcome to Audio Aficionado.

You are not going to see many for sale... I can't tell you for sure if it is a good deal but it is more than 50% of retail. At the same time, they are rather new to the marked and really is an incredible preamp.

I got a full trade in value on mine since I have a good relationship with my dealer so I am glad I did not sell mine outright.

Knowledge and advice is free, it's what you do with it that will cost you.
Glad to have you aboard our ship of audio lunatics.

Default Ahhhh ! Very good point!

I hope I can control myself. Not very likely.

One more question on a KX-R, Is the remote control optional?

Thanks.
