Hi Tom, I would say the way I have obtain this top playback performance is by using a Intel quad core processor, planty of RAM, high performance GPU, W7 for OS and using JRiver Media Center 17 with correct settings. It took a few days to tweek it just right but well worth the extra effort. I find the Blu-Ray much better and working to replaced most of my DVD format for the Blu-Ray format. Good thing many blu-rays are less then $10 for movies that were from the early 2000s.
